Driver Development

Our driver development program is for racers of every age. We have aimed to increase your driving skillset and racing IQ and decrease your lap times.
Truly developing a driver comes from the driver/kart/mechanic, who is all three working together. We can provide the best kart, engine, and setup package to take you to the top. We service drivers of all ages.

Trofeo Karting offers age-appropriate, focused, and structured driver development programs, which include both on-track and off-track coaching.

Locations in both Arizona and Colorado allow us to offer driver development all year around.

Our drivers also have access to Kart racing lifestyle fitness, nutrition, and programs taught by elite-level athletes.

Whether it’s the driver’s home track or has never been to the track, getting familiar with the track surface and conditions on any particular day is essential. We show and teach how to read conditions, the track layout, turn-in points, apexes, and landmarks for braking and acceleration. Walking the track helps the driver visualize and apply the knowledge at race speed.

DATA ANALYSIS

Data is an essential part of kart racing. We can measure from session to session, lap by lap, and day by day to help determine where a driver’s strong and weak points are on track. Debriefing those inconsistent corners and then measuring the results after the next session can provide a better result and faster lap times. Common focus points during our data analysis coaching sessions are the following:

VIDEO REVIEW

Video complements Data analysis. Our video review sessions help to pinpoint trouble spots or driver inputs to the kart more accurately. They can show how aggressive or smooth the drivers’ hands are or how they break and throttle input out of apexes.
